♦ Trying to control who gets to write or enjoy queer fiction makes queer creators unsafe.

♦ Anybody can create queer art and fiction.

You know what I find stupid about antis bringing up the age thing though, you know the “She’s legal! She’s over 6,000-years-old!” is that they not only say it unironically, but they act like everyone is saying it unironically as an excuse for “pedophilia.” I have never in my life, since it’s conception, ever seen someone say the “6,000-years-old loli” joke as a legit excuse to lude a character. It was a joke, a literal edgy joke.But no, antis not only ruin it by taking it seriously, but by putting it into people’s mouths who never said anything about it.Not to mention, it doesn’t support their argument about how stuff like this “normalizes pedophilia,” when no human can live to be 6,000. We barely manage to reach 100, let alone any child.(Side note, it also really means jackshit when it involves immortal/non-human creatures. They’re not real so the correlations to that and pedophilia makes no sense.)

And lots of people (outside anti communities) create lewd work of the 6000 year old dragon loli characters.

and that’s fine.

What someone is saying when they claim that sexual content of 6000 year old dragon lolis is pedophilic what they are saying is that

  • they believe attraction to people with immature features is inherently pedophilic
  • they believe attraction to people with childish or immature behaviors is inherently pedophilic.

And we have been over why a mindset like that is inherently ableist and bigoted.

You can’t say adults who look childish don’t deserve sex and romance.

You can’t say adults who behave like children don’t deserve sex and romance.

6000 year old dragon lolis are not children. They’re not real, they’re characters, and they’re not even child characters.

Myself and at least dozen moots of mine included. Have they ever seen those restore fandoms back to what they were posts with over 20k notes? Who do they think is liking and rebloging them?They can’t fathom most of us are grown ups with busy lives and couldn’t give a single fuck if someone out there is shipping fictional twins or not. dl;dr, simple as that

Hi, anon. I understand that you’re going through a lot right now. The world is unfair, and it feels like there is very little in your life that you can actually control.

I understand that lashing out, and saying cruel things to random strangers online can make you feel powerful, and feel better about yourself for a little while.

I hope that you can work on your coping skills, anon, because as coping skills go, bullying others is a hollow one that leaves you feeling worse than when you started.

I can’t imagine you want to look in the mirror and think, this is the face of a cruel person who likes to bully others. I don’t think that’s something that will make you feel better about yourself.

In my opinion, if you’re feeling frustrated and angry, you should let those feelings out in a healthy way. Maybe draw some art that represents your feelings, talk about your anger to a friend, or write some fiction that makes you feel safe and empowered.
