Do you guys get angry if a different alter eats the food you made? /light-hearted What about other things, like drinks or movies or games?
– πŸ‰πŸ’Œ

Sometimes we will play a teasing game of it, actually! And also we do like cooking for each other. There’s a few system members who are just abysmal cooks to the rest of us, so when they’re around someone else will usually switch in or confront to make the food.

πŸŒ€πŸ˜Ž and πŸ•·οΈπŸ˜Ž are both notorious for ruining food– last time πŸ•·οΈπŸ˜Ž tried to make rice without a rice cooker it was somehow both overcooked and undercooked at the same time. And don’t even get me started on πŸŒ€πŸ˜Ž’s “spaghetti and scrambled eggs.”

More often when people get annoyed it’s when someone switches out in the middle of eating something that the person switching in doesn’t like. ❄️πŸ’ͺ loves mountain dew and 😼πŸ”ͺ and a lot of the rest of us hate it which has been a problem before 🀣🀣🀣

I don’t understand f/os, really I don’t but I do understand that my obsession with a very specific dark elf makes me wanna sit in his basement being paid stupid amounts of money just to give him a couple hours of my time.(Cal is a very interesting character indeed)

F/Os mean something different to everyone.

I’m happy for you and your dark elf. πŸ˜‰

Do you think a system could awaken at any age? Do you think it’s possible for someone who’s been going through life dissociated but not…”shifted out” to one day suddenly develop an alter? What does it mean to have an alter “awaken”?
– πŸ‰πŸ’Œ

It’s our personal belief, and the belief of many on the greater plural community, that plurality can manifest, awaken, or be discovered at any age.

Clinical purists of the “model of structural dissociation” often dispute this, but they aren’t even getting their own clinical arguments right.

We use the term “awaken” for our own system members because we believe that we have a broadly fixed system and all of us have always been here, but dormant.

Other plurals use the terms “manifest”, “appear”, “be created” etc to describe new members coming into their systems.

We don’t use the terms “alter” for ourselves as that is specifically clinical DID language.

Please feel free to ask follow up questions.

Do you have any advice for people using ableist language who won’t quit?Specifically people who are ND and don’t understand the fact that just because they don’t mean harm by it, doesn’t erase the fact it’s harmful and hurtful language to use, especially when it’s triggering for other people around them?
– (A very upset) πŸ‰πŸ’Œ

I think my advice would be to remind them that even if they don’t feel the language is harmful, they are not excused from kindness and respect to others even due to their neurodivergence.

You can remind them that they can go on using whatever language that they want, and people who feel hurt or disrespected by those words are equally free stop interacting with them because they keep saying hurtful things.

So there’s this song (PYRITE GIRL – by RIP using 鏑音γƒͺン [Kagamine Rin]) about how trauma can make you feel broken and “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger” and how some people use that to make themself more appealing or interesting or whatever. The title is a little bit layered. “Pyrite” is a name for “Fool’s Gold”, and the gold bit calls back to the Japanese practice of Kintsugi, whereas instead of throwing out broken dishes, you fix them (usually with a tar/adhesive, and then paint the cracks gold) to make them more beautiful for having been broken, and fixed. The Pyrite, then, calls to how the girl in the song is constantly trying to break and reform herself to be perfect, to be likeable and loveable and good. But, of course, a bowl with golden cracks is beautiful because it was fixed with love and care, not because somebody smashed it, so rather than being made of gold, she’s made of Pyrite.Idk I just…this song hits so hard for me. It calls to a time when I tried to break myself down until people would love me. It’s great. I wanted to tell someone about it.

I’ll have to listen to this, it sounds really relatable.

Also, thank you for the great breakdown of the title and meaning.

Hi hello you guys are great. You seem to have a lot of Anti trouble today so;You’re great! You’re valid! I love seeing you in NY notifs and I love stalking your blog like a tiny anxious gremlin, nomever interacting much but loving every moment of it ^.^ Also Plagas Leon makes me??? Feel some type of way??? Tormented man possessed by demons he cannot control or stop and being subjected to the destruction of everything and everyone he loves???
– πŸ‰πŸ’Œ

This was from a couple (3-4) days ago, but I wanted to (finally) answer it. <3

Thank you so much. Getting this message when we did helped us feel better in the middle of a lot of BS.

Plagas leon is great, and we’re loving seeing more of him in fanart. Our Leon remembers something like that happening to him…

Hey hey hey do you guys like text-based games? I like making them it’s really stressful but really fun too. I don’t have any published, but I’ working on a proper demo and I’m curious about what you guys think of text-based games.
– πŸ‰πŸ’Œ

We love text based games! We’ve used ren’py and twine to make them before, as well as coding one in java for a programming class one time.

We’d love to make a full scale one and publish it some day too!

Your blog has made me sit and wonder if maybe the odd connections I’ve felt to specific characters were really just the Autism or maybe if they were some kind of other connection. I ache for them. I ache to be near them, to touch them, to see and feel and hear them as they are, beautiful and ugly and kind and cruel. Some I see myself in; others I see like old, ancient friends from times past. I’m also learning to engage with potential headmates. I’ve heard things, sometimes, when I lay down to sleep. Nothing big, but…it’s something, right? And there’s the time, a few months ago, when I heard someone say “Psst – I’m still here”. I got so excited about that…I should have been scared, but I kept hoping I’d hear her again.I never did, though…that’s depressing.

It sounds like you’re on a journey of self discovery, and we are here for you!
