Okay um like so…. Your brilliant solution completely ignores that people make fan content that people who consider themselves antiproship find objectionable.

And then if you make that content, antis fly out of the woodwork to call you a “nasty proshipper” whether you call yourself proship or not.

Or do you just not want proshippers to make content?

I kinda think it might be that one.

Also like um “people wouldn’t bully you if you didn’t do x thing” is classic victim blaming. Like, classic classic.

why are antis so obsessed with pedophilia? Idk how to tell them, but unless they see real grooming online or real adult being sexual in any manner with a real minor, they can’t really prove someone’s pedo. Can someone who ships problematic ship be one? Yea sure. But can someone with most vanilla ships ever be pedo irl? Ofc they can. Point is that online we don’t know bat shit about others. You can’t accuse people of committing a crime or being attracted to kids with 0 evidence. REAL evidence. It’ll be like after reblogging gifset from horror move getting anons accusing you of murdering someone irlThey’re just creating safe spaces for actually predators because give it 2-4 year time and noone online would react to word pedo and similar ones anymore

Sadly, most antis aren’t really looking to protect anyone.

They’re looking for an ‘acceptable target’ to bully and harass that they don’t ave to feel bad about being mean too. And they’ve been told by society that accusing someone of being a pedophile always makes them an acceptable target.

I wish antis cared half as much about actual grooming and predators as they claim they do.

That stuff with the 13 year old anti who “took two years to get out” etc. was so sad to read. I’m in my EARLY 20s, and when I was his age my internet activity was still monitored.

Meanwhile, our internet was completely unmonitored our whole childhood. I was looking at dirty fanart of Jesse and James from team rocket on geocities pages.

I wish antis could understand that it is okay and normal for them to curate their own internet experience. And I wish those that wanted it curated for them had their parents to do it. Because none of us are responsible for them.

I genuinely don’t understand what’s turning these kids into antis, aside from the general social climate of puritanism that’s been building the last ten years. :c

So tired of antis going, “I shouldn’t have to say this but-” No. Shut up. Not only should you not say it, you don’t have to fucking say it. You don’t have to say “proshippers stay away” type shit, you can just say nothing, block, and move on. You’re just being obnoxious by pulling the “I shouldn’t have to say this” crap on any type of social media.

“I shouldn’t have to say this” communicates nothing but their desire to telegraph their moral outrage to everyone reading.

I know that there’s a lot of stigma and misunderstandings surrounding the term “proshipper” but it’s never okay for people to say something a proshipper would say and then also insult them in the same breath. Antis can’t have their cake and then eat it too.

I am seeing it more and more frequently. People want to have their problematic content but still tell everyone that they think proshippers are icky. Its…. frustrating.

Its all because antis have twisted the meaning of proship so that people outside of ‘the know’ believe it means people who glorify/romanticize content.

Ran across a post in my recommended that said like “just because I’m pro ship doesn’t mean I support kink irl 🤢” and then almost immediately another one that said “just because I support kink irl doesn’t mean I’m pro ship 🤢” and it’s like… I feel that live and let live is a core part of both those things, and it’s a little confusing to be in support of one while being highly opposed to the other.
