If the venn diagram of proshippers and transphobia is a circle, then why are all accounts of me being misgendered from antis? In fact, all exclusionist shit(such as aphobia, panphobia, transmed, etc) directed towards me too, came directly from antis. I’ve only had one proshipper say some exclusionist bullshit to me, one. Literally more common for the bigots to be on the side policing what fiction someone likes me thinks.Oh, and while we’re at it, can we bring up how it’s more common for antis to be racist? Don’t get me started on the slurs too, I’ve been called ner, we’ve seen Lacey(a Jewish proshipper)also be called ner along with k*ke, I’ve seen chk thrown around on Twitter towards the Asian(not just Japanese, they’ve done it to Chinese, Korean, etc as well)parts of fandom. God dammit, remember “freaks of color” over a Star Wars ship?And the ablism. I’ve had retd thrown at me, same with again Lacey, and many others. Always an anti.And even when there are bigots in the proship community, we always call it out and disown them. Antis never do it for their own, they either ignore or encourage it. But no, being anti-censorship, anti-harassment, and being ship and let ship is the pipeline to bigotry.

I have seen a lot of fancops using ableist language, and eugenics terminology and viewpoints.

I have seen a lot of fancops hurl around racist insults and be openly antisemitic.

I have seen a lot of fancops who are obviously anti-japanese.

I have seen a lot of fancops invalidate the trauma of survivors, and directly wish further abuse on them, or tell them they’re glad their abuse happened.

I have seen a lot of fancops deliberately misgender people.

It’s really sad, but it’s not surprising.

Fancops are the fox news watchers of fandom.

antis have gotten worse since the last time i was involved with their following. back then it used to be “that’s gross dni” and now its gotten to “women are only into ‘gross’ media bc they’re incapable of thought”. which is something i never thought i would see with my own eyes. I’m not sure if you’ve seen it, but recently, an “aspiring librarian” said with their whole chest that if anyone asked them where the “incest, gore, etc. books were” that they would burn the place down.which dissolved into a long line of ppl saying they would do the same and how it was the “morally correct thing to do”.you know, “for the children”. – 💔

I used to be a violently aggressive anti and I honestly really regret that. Antis think everyone “”‘normal””” is on their side when in reality vast majority of accounts here that don’t have DNI list or proshipper in bio are for ship and let ship. We are realizing more and more than antis have no concept of people who think and believe in a way other than the way they think and believe.

Antis seem to believe that there is only one category of people who think and believe in a way that they don’t, and that category is “weirdos and criminals, and weirdo and criminal are synonyms.”

Fancops seem to believe that

If it WERE illegal, it’s illegal for them to save it or transmit it.

the reason I left twitter was after seeing them spread literal csem as if it was no big deal

even seeing people asking for it to see it for themselves so they could see the bad thing so they could share it with others to warn them

that was the moment that fucked everything up for me. it’s not that they don’t see these things as illegal so they are doing it, I genuine feel at this point they are so locked up in this mindset that’s cultivated their minds to thinking one way they don’t even register when it finally isn’t something actually illegal and becomes harmful anymore

I think antis have a very big problem with control: controlling their own thoughts and likings, policing others’ interest via projection, viewing world in black/white no gray area whatsoever, trying to shape complex nature of human thoughts and emotions into a tightly labeled box, labeling existence of anyone who is different from then in identity or fictional preferences as degrenade or whatever term they use nowadays. And so on, so they think it’s their right to police others into fitting those narrowly defined labels, in similar way terfs, right wingers, LGBT-phobes and other hate groups doMy two cents are that they’ve grown up in environment where they were never allowed to question things. So they never learnt to think freely from themselves and form opinions on their own. So once they leave the safe haven they’re deep down a frightened child who is shown too many options of outside world, no guadicance of strictly fixed rules to follow – so they lash out like wounded kids. No emotional regulation whatsoever because once more, world is black/white to them. If it’s good, it’s the best. If it rains, it pours. Cognitive bias is self defense mechanisms at this point, because they’re afraid of self reflection and actually coming up with something solely on their own. No half baked stolen options Also I guess that’s why they can’t admit their faves or ships contain problematic elements because that’ll be huge cognitive clash of their worldviews to them
