Oh yeah, every social media site has the right to terminate your account for any reason/no reason.
Which is fine, but like, also they usually don’t do that, so you wanna know why they termed you.

this was a decade ago.
Our former blog xxharryosbornxx was shadow banned for all of November due to accidental DM spam.
We sent a report and it took a full month to hear back from support.
Sadly this is not something that will likely be corrected in a day.
You will have to be patient.
And maybe just make another blog.

You’re too kind. It takes practice, and honestly our plurality helps, because if a message comes in that one of us can’t handle, usually someone else in system has a good way to handle it.
And honestly we aren’t afraid to delete a message now and then.
What’s important is your comfort level on your blog, not anybody else’s!
Sending you fond thought. π
Right??? I’m not going to go and read your hard to read carrd before I like or reblog something on my dash!
Yep! Tumblr’s weird as hell. Usually its because you included a tag that’s censored.
Or sometimes its because some asshole reported your post.
Self reminder: I am not compelled to address or respond to every way my posts are interacted with or responded to.
I am not doing anything wrong when I write a post about one community, and don’t include information about or the opinions of communities I am not writing about or am not a part of.
I am not obligated to respond to people who are arguing in bad faith.
I am not compelled to signal boost opinions I disagree with by reblogging them to respond.
… that *is* What It Means Now, here? Descriptivism and all.) Anyway, following the tag now on cohost has been like, “Woh, that’s a lot of fetish stuff, what the heck? Oooh, this is just what it’s like outside of tumblr, isn’t it?” I’m told early tumblr was more like that too. I think it’s strange/interesting how they’ve seemed to.. more-or-less successfully build a sfw bubble here on tumblr? That might be neat if it didn’t involve creating confusion around definitions and harassing… (2/?π)
… people who post nsfw in the tag, haha. …And there’s a whole long tiring discussion to be had around how one can separate out fetish vs non-fetish content when the former isn’t always necessarily nsfw, and what to do about the huge amount of minors here, but I’ve hardly seen anyone in the tumblr community who thinks of it as a kink, or anyone who seems to know about non-sexual kinks in the first place, so that’s where we’re at here. T_T I was resistant to seeing it as a kink too… (3/? π)
… at first, but I can’t deny that it well fits the definition of playing with power dynamics. Also, and this could be nostalgia bias, but i could swear the g/t content on here has gotten steadily more monotonously fluffy and boring ever since antis started taking hold. :’) But what do I know, I don’t check the tags much. (4/5 π)
The latest Discourse to split the community has been whether the trope of a giant keeping a tiny as a pet (almost always framed in a negative light, mind you) is Making Light Of/Glorifying Slavery. :/ Anyway, sorry for the million asks. I saw the talk about vore and… I don’t get to talk about this often. lol. My dream is to some day find/make a g/t server that is both ship-and-let-ship and 18+… So far finding an 18+ one that’s not solely focused on nsfw is a challenge on its own :’) (5/5 π)
It is really interesting to see how communities and cultures are shaped by the specific site that they’re on and the specific people involved.
It’s a fascinating subject, and so is the discussion about sexual kink vs. non-sexual kink. I hope in the future people will be less hostile when discussing that kind of thing. We’re all a bunch of weirdos, and that’s great!
Thanks for sharing your experience, anon.
We don’t mind at all! Thank you for being so polite as to check! <3 Please go ahead!
