‘past life memories’ anon: thank you!! that makes a lot of sense! I also don’t think of my own past ages as “me” and sometimes view them as contrary or intrusive to my current identity, so it actually makes total sense that my experience of otherkin would be similar, where my past lives don’t feel totally congruent with my current self. Thank you for that comparison! It made a lot of sense to me! (I do also get fictionflickers and they suck, but they’re different from my other kin experiences)

Anon, I am so glad that was helpful to you! Thank you for sharing your experiences!

blackheart-biohazards:

The disconnect between kin life gnosis and knowledge of the canonical text of a work is sometimes staggering.

I’m reeling from re-realizing that Oce/lot isn’t even *in* Peace Wal/ker.

He just shows up at the beginning of Phan/tom pain out of context as if he’s been there all along.

Canon are you okay? Are you drunk? Do you need an editor?

me: why is there no paz/ocelot art or fic? It’s not any more problematic than her and Kazuhira.

Me, finding out that Paz and Ocelot have never met on screen: oh that’s why.

Woke up with Danganronpa kin thoughts in my (🔫🦢) head this morning, so I have decided to share some of our ‘lore’.

In a lot of ways our experiences are very closer to the material that’s presented in canon.

The biggest difference is in our class 77b.

It was bigger.

Peko Pekoyama was actually a pair of twins who routinely pretended to be one person.

And there were two additional members. The SHSL Kendo (me) and the SHSL Actress.

Kendo and Actress didn’t end up in the virtual killing game because they got knocked out of the brainwashing due to exposure to a neurological toxin (by Seiko) that was supposed to kill them.

It caused a limited form of brain damage that was enough to ‘reset’ them partially while they were in recovery, captured by the future foundation.

They ended up being the ones who convinced Makoto that the rest of 77b had been tampered with, and that it was worth trying to do something about it.

Um…I hope you don’t mind, but reading all these posts about past lives and stuff has me really curious about something. Before you “woke up”, did you ever feel…wrong? Out of place? Like the life you were living was just…missing something? Like no matter what this world gives you, something is always going to be missing?I figured I was just mentally unwell. Delusional from all the trauma, or something. But both the idea of being a singlet and the idea of this life being the only one feels so…wrong, somehow. I should have magic. Not grand laser powers or flight or anything, but…something. There should be gods, and magic, and ways to tie the two together. I can’t really explain it. I’ve never quite felt like just one person, either. Even if I mostly don’t feel a distinct “shift” in who I am, it’s more like…I’m nobody? Not that I don’t know who I am, just that I don’t exist. Other times, there’s a clear and distinct feeling of somebody being there with me, somebody there to hold my hand and help me do things like cook, when I’m too anxious/unstable to do it “by myself”I guess I just wanted to ask if you’d ever experienced anything like that? And if you had any advice for connecting to a system, if there is any, that you can’t really…find.

Hi anon.

Feeling wrong, and feeling out of place are exactly the feelings that I’d describe having before we awakened. What you’re talking about sounds pretty much like exactly what we went through.

Feelings like the world isn’t quite right, like we should be somewhere, or someone else. Feelings like we weren’t alone in our own body, or like we weren’t ourselves.

If you’re having feelings like this, I’d urge you to look into spiritual fictionkin questioning, and soulbonding.

Some great places to start are @fromfiction and fictionkin.org which have really good resources on questioning and figuring out if you’re fictionkin.

Also please feel free to send us more asks any time, or to DM us if you feel like you want to talk.

Why is Heisenberg Like That?

Started as a reblog/reply to this post
( @toosmallformyowngood ) but I decided it got too long and merited its own post.

Why does Heisenberg bother with the robot army instead of just killing Mother Miranda in some other way?

So there’s two reasons for this, actually.

Miranda’s actual power, and Miranda’s perceived power.

For the first one, Miranda’s actual power, funny as it is to call her “just some stuck up old lady”, we can see from her fight with Ethan at the end of the game that that’s simply not true. Miranda has quite a bit of viral/supernatural power, shape shifting, mental fog, all kinds of strength, regeneration, and nasty attacks.

And this is when she’s in a weakened state, due to the ritual to bring back her daughter.

Second, is Miranda’s perceived power.

What you need to remember is that every person in the village has grown up isolated and indoctrinated into a cult, the central tenet of which is that Mother Miranda is all powerful. This includes your man, Karl.

Now Karl obviously doesn’t believe that she’s all powerful, but here we have to peel back the second layer of Miranda’s perceived power over him.

Karl didn’t start this relationship as an adult man. Karl was a child.

Miranda raised him as a son, AND as part of her cult.

To Heisenberg, Miranda is an abusive parent.

And speaking as a victim of child abuse, one of the key elements of an abusive parent is raising your child with the perception that your power is absolute, and unshakable.

Whether or not Heisenberg could kill her some other way is irrelevant, because at the end of the day, Karl is scared of her. He fears exactly what she’ll do to him if he tries to kill her, and messes it up. He isn’t going to GET another shot. The plan has to be perfect, foolproof.

This is what Heisenberg sees every time he thinks about killing Miranda.

(image transcript: a meme of a baseball mascot with mother Miranda’s face pasted over it. The text reads “What are you gonna do with that big bat? Gonna hit me? Better make it count. Better make it hurt. Better kill me in one shot.”)

And that’s why the robot army. That’s why the insane amount of planning, and preparation, and secrecy.

Heisenberg is afraid of his abusive mother Miranda, knows he has exactly one shot to kill her, and is terrified of what will happen if he misses that shot.
