Okay, so! I was getting spoiled about a new episode from the show my F/O is from and I decided to watch the episode to see what the hype is all about And my F/O is HEAVILLY shipped with another character, but thankfully she’s VERY similar to me, physically and personality wiseIn the episode, she ends up having a panic attack and her powers get out of contros, so he rescues her, comforts her and helps her calm downOne of my biggest worries is that my F/Os wouldn’t love me because I have BPD, but that made me feel so understood and loved and I’m just so happy that he’d actually accept and love me just the way I am :’DDD-πŸ’™

Aw, anon, I’m really glad that could reassure you. (I also have a suspicion what show you’re talking about and I’m hoping to catch up with it soon.)

I love it when characters show their caring and compassionate sides, even when it’s in unusual ways.

I often find that fictional characters are often more compassionate than a lot of real people– even the characters who are considered ‘bad guys’ or just bad people in fiction.

It’s funny. Until I saw your posts about Mary Jane, I kinda just… Believed that she was annoying? Like, I have no real opinions cuz I’m not big into comics, but I always used to see people shitting on MJ, saying she was annoying and shit, and I just. kinda internalized that. I feel bad now, she seems cool. Internalized misogyny is terrible, and I’m never listening to dudebros about anything ever again.

Honestly, anon, this is really common, and not surprising, especially with the way the raimi films reduce and change Mary Jane’s characterization. No offense to the writers, and no offense to the actress but that’s basically not the MJ I know from the comics, or from any of the cartoons.

You probably don’t know this, but in the comics, the original backstory of the relationship is that Aunt May is trying to set Peter up on a blind date with her best friend’s niece.

Peter assumes that aunt May’s best friend’s niece is not going to be someone he wants to date (assumes she will be prudish, boring, etc, basically worries aunt May is setting him up with a dud.)

He spends LITERAL YEARS of the comic avoiding meeting Mary Jane. Literally avoiding it. Dodging the issue, and never seeing her.

And then when he finally meets her?

She’s a vivacious, feminist (in the 70s) knockout, who’s directly coded as a sexual swinger and just all around gorgeous person.

She’s wonderful. She’s amazing.

She and Peter have the most vibrant, ridiculous relationship imaginable.

Mary Jane ABSOLUTELY wears the pants in the relationship. Its’ practically canon that 70s Peter is getting pegged on the regular.

I will be pulling up some panels of wonderful, amazing Mary Jane.

Mukuro gush πŸ’–

@flirtingxwithxphantoms ‘gifted me a gush pass’, so why not.

Things I love about Mukuro

Or as I sometimes call her, Muko πŸ’•

  • Kind and gentle as a person, but genuinely loves killing and war
  • The soft, breathy sound of her voice
  • The way her expression shifts from soft and unfocused to intense and aggressive
  • Her cute little smile when she shows it
  • The way she is slowly learning to love herself despite her abuse
  • Seeing her light up when I get her a present she likes, like a new knife, or an MRE
  • Listening to her infodump about warfare and military topics

Things Muko and I do together

  • Buy military surplus items like uniform pieces, old mess items and utensils, pins and badges etc
  • Buy random combat rations and MREs, prepare them and eat them together, treating it like a blind bag surprise and reviewing the meals
  • Watching YouTubers review mres
  • Watching YouTubers talk about guns and military history
  • Playing Call of Duty and other war games and comparing them to our own experiences
  • Just cuddling quietly and talking
  • Talking about military therapy and combat
  • I love buying her knives as presents, she loves knives πŸ’–

Muko is a partner system f/o (meaning she exists as a member in our partner system) so she has some kintypes. Some of muko’s kintypes are: Minato from persona 3, Shamir from fire emblem, Callisto from marvel, Quiet from MGS and Gina from Great Ace Attorney.

Muko is very consistent across all her shifts, and usually doesn’t get far from her core personality that I know her as, as Mukuro, but even when she does, I love her in every shift she has πŸ’–πŸ’•πŸ₯°

The best kind of imagines are ones that are simultaneously believable and also so fucking outlandish it seems impossible. I cannot explain it.My f/o spending just So Much Money because he has infinite (kind of, his bank account doubles every day at midnight for Reasons, and after a couple years he’s just…y’know?) on the person he loves because he’s so obsessively in love with them he wants to see them smile, to hear them laugh. My other f/o not understanding laws and refusing to cooperate with the police or pay her taxes or anything and so she just has this massive hotel chain that’s actually pretty awesome but it’s just a laundering front. It’s great. They’re great. I love gushing about them.(Bonus: My f/o being unexpectedly soft and kind, when you’re alone with her. She’s wonderful and it’s a weird experience, building her from the ground up only to fall in love with her.)

You are so right, anon, and these are lovely! πŸ’•

I can feel it in the rotten air tonight

In the tips of my fingers, in the skin on my face

In the weak last gasp of the evening’s dying light

In the way those eyes I’ve always loved illuminate this place

Like a trashcan fire in a prison cell

Like the searchlights in the parking lots of hell

I will walk down to the end with you

If you will come all the way down with me

Interest shouldn’t preclude you, smaller blogs talk about much nicher and are happy to scream into the void. Regardless, Matrix self ship?

Ya know, you’re right, but sometimes I get embarrassed easily, especially talking about myself. ^^;; So thanks for asking.

Back in the early 2000s I used to self ship with one of the most niche characters of all time, and a villain to boot. One of the agents from the Matrix (1999).

Specifically this one.

Technically, this is Agent Brown, but because wikis weren’t what they are now 20 years ago, I thought he was Agent Jones. So he’s Agent Jones.

My friend who shipped herself with Agent Smith and I got together and wrote this whole long AU/canon-continuation of the Matrix that depicted the Agents as the good guys protecting humanity, and our characters were human deputies who worked with them because of their special qualities.

My S/I was a guy named Vincent Greer who was 19 and worked at Blockbuster when he was recruited into the Agency after his powers manifested because he witnessed a fight between an agent and a rebel.

He was an extremely edgy super cool 90s/2000s guy who used a katana along with a gun, and road a motorcycle. He had a faulty connection to the matrix which was slowly driving him insane and giving him berserker rages.

He and his lover Agent Jones weren’t supposed to be in a relationship due to agency regulations so it was all a big secret that they had to hide, and Jones was terribly afraid of losing Vincent to his defect. He was trying to find any way to save him from finally flying off the handle for the last time.

Vincent also had a recurring enemy called Grimoires who was a rogue program from a decaying backup of the matrix. He was a sinister, controlling mafia type with ‘survival of the fittest’ thing (very Wesker adjacent in hindsight). He was always telling Vincent that they were more alike than he wanted to admit, and trying to get him to join him.

Here’s some old art of Vincent.
