It’s snowing in Tokyo. At such a time, we should introduce you to a work depicting snow in the city. The image is Hasui Kawase’s “Snow at Shiba Daimon”. The present Shiba Daimon is a reinforced concrete structure built in 1937, but this print was made in 1936, so it must have been built before the reconstruction. The classical self-driving car may have come to pick up a person wearing geta and a stylish umbrella.
