Wesker was leaning over Rebecca’s desk, his sunglasses low on his nose. They’d been talking viral theory for an hour now, hard at work trying to untangle the knot that was the modern day world of bioterror.
Unfortunately, even resurrected and reformed, Rebecca could sense a shift in the conversation as they talked. Wesker’s line of thinking kept drifting perilously close to eugenics, and Rebecca kept gently steering the conversation away from those ideas. But she was getting tired of it.
As Wesker opened his mouth to continue, she decided it was time to change tactics.
As the first syllables of what she knew was going to be another comment to redirect , she took the initiative. Leaning suddenly over the desk, her lips pressed firmly to his, smothering the words quite literally in his mouth, as she kissed him firmly.
If nothing else…that would shut him up for a few minutes. Enough time to maybe rethink his choice of words.
