6: What are your S/Iâs friends like? Does your F/O get along with them, or is there some tension? Does your S/I get along with your F/Oâs friends?
Most of Griffâs friends are low level mazoku/demons that they summon, which most humans find pretty unusual. Outside of Griffâs polycule, theyâre also friends with a lot of weird magicians and thieves. Griffâs demon friends are kind of on a scale of jerk to mischievous prankster, so they can be hard for even Naga and Xelloss to get along withâ most of them are pretty intimidated by Xelloss of course since heâs so much more powerful than them.
10: Does your S/I have any rivals or enemies? What are they like and how did they meet? What does your F/O think of them? Have there been any serious clashes?
Griffâs biggest rival is Nagaâs sister, Amelia. Because Amelia is a so-called holy mage and a âchampion of justiceâ, sheâs convinced that Griffâs trafficking with demons is pretty flatly evil and stupid, and wonât miss a chance to tell Griff that she should stop doing it. Griff mostly finds Amelia to be somewhere between amusingly annoying at best, to incredibly frustrating at worst. Theyâre kind of friends, but they definitely come to blows at odds with one another. Xelloss finds the whole thing hilarious and tends to needle things in a way to foster the tension between them, because of course he does. Naga on the other hand sometimes winds up in the role of mediator, by virtue of being Ameliaâs sister, despite finding her justice thing pretty annoying too.
13: Have your F/O and S/I ever been in serious danger together? What happened, and how did they get out of it?
Naga and Griff are adventurers, so theyâre in danger pretty constantly. The biggest mess theyâve gotten themselves into was probably starting a demonic civil war! However there have been lots of times where a smaller issue turned into a big one and they ended up having to flee town⌠Usually when theyâre in danger they laugh about it together afterward!
I’m going to answer this about Griff, who is my Slayers S/I involved with Xelloss and Naga. Griff is a magical researcher who is working on completing a book with the details of all the different Mazoku (demons) in the world that can be summoned. Basically an Ars Goetia but for the Slayers world.
1: How did your S/I and F/O meet?
Griff first met Xelloss when Griff was a little kid, working at their parents inn, at a crossroads on a trade route through the forest. Xelloss appeared at the inn one night as a mysterious cloaked stranger in the corner. Despite it being very subtle, Griff noticed that he was using some kind of magic to mess with some of the other patrons in the inn, and Xelloss noticed that Griff was watching with fascination. Later that night, Xelloss appeared in Griffâs room and gave them their first book of magical spells, telling them he would be watching their career.
Griff first met Naga when Griff was hiring a mercenary to help guard them while they were researching and delving into an old ruin. Griff ended up hiring Naga, and the two of them got along really well despite their very opposite personalities. After the job at the ruin was done, they decided to stick together, and Naga would help Griff put together their book.
3: Has anyone ever tried to break up your S/I and your F/O? Who was it, and why were they trying to do that? How did it fail?
Most people donât know that Xelloss and Griff are together, so no one really tries to break them up⌠Naga on the other hand. People just keep proposing to Naga while Griff is *right there*. Like, its a problem. Adventurer dudes are constantly like âcome away with me and be my bride, Miss Nagaâ, and Griff is just like *evil gremlin stare*. Naga isnât interested, and doesnât really take it seriously, but a few times Griff has summoned a mazoku to âdeal withâ her suitors in one way or another.
12: Whatâs a hobby that your S/I and your F/O share? Imagine a memorable incident that could happen while they pursue their hobby together.
The biggest hobby that all three of us, Griff, Naga, and Xelloss share is probably harassing people and causing chaos and trouble in moderately annoying ways. The three of us were absolutely a huge pain in the ass when we went to Nagaâs sisterâs big wedding at capital. Naga made a toast speech that was basically just a string of puns at the coupleâs expense, an Xelloss pretended to be a waiter for a while and got peoples drink orders wrong persistently, with Griff playing backup to both of them. o(*￣â˝ďżŁ*)o

Aside from Xelloss, my other first two F/Os when I was a teenager were James from Pokemon and Reno from FF7. Back then, I was about 15, and I had âshrinesâ to all of them in the form of printed out fanart collections taped to my bedroom walls. Though I only still consider myself in a relationship with Xelloss, its nice to remember the others sometimes. They were so important to me. I even carried a lot of the printed fanart with me when I moved out of my parents house the first couple of times.Did anyone else ever do this with putting art of their F/Os up in their room?
