one of my favourite enemies-to-lovers trope is when one gets hurt and the other is furious like, “who HURT you?” and then gets the reply, “why so bothered? wasn’t it like your big goal to defeat me till the other day?” and then the enemy just fumes even more, “I want you to be defeated by me. Anybody else who dares to touch you has to pay. Now for god’s sake put up a bandage, at this rate you’re gonna bleed out even before we reach our grand finale—”
