I am once again wondering how antis survive their English (or literature if english isn’t their first language) class:

I mean, I had to read all kinds of fucked up classics, some of which still squick me to this day, for a grade. I also had to critically engage with what the author was saying. In fourth grade, I had to read about suicide. I read incest for a grade. I remember my (white) 7th grade english teacher saying the N word out loud when reading. Same class, I read greek myths that included non-con.

Yet, I have never, in my life, heard of an antishipper accusing their English teacher of being a pedo because they made them read fucked up work.

Did English class not assign those books after I graduated? Can antis engage in dead dove when outside of a fandom context? Is it their parents getting mad instead?

I have so many questions
